The Holy Bible, comprised of the Old Testament and New Testament, includes 66 books written by 40 men over a time period of 1,500 years. The books of the Bible were written by men who ranged from the most learned of their day (Solomon, King David, Saul of Tarsus and Luke, a physician) to simple fishermen who were among Jesus Christ’s disciples - proving that God can use anyone who is humble and has a willing heart. In fact, God’s disdain for the “wisdom” of foolish secular men is evident throughout the Bible: See, as examples, 1 Corinthians 1:18-29; and Matthew 18:3. God’s promises in the Bible are true, not the least of which are His beautiful promises in the first verses of Psalm 91. The Holy Bible is the greatest book (more accurately books) of all time. This club is not interested in folks who want to debate the existence of God or the deity of Jesus Christ. There are plenty of forums for that and this club is for those who already know THE TRUTH (John 14:6) and want to celebrate it. | |
