Lovely key, of course, but the interplay with the knights after key is pleasant to watch, especially if black accepts the bigger fish.

Great puzzle

Notice the interpolation of the Bishops! It gives one something to play with and enables one to get a no hints and no errors solve! Good for 2 plus stars!

Once the Queen parachuted down the rear flanking advance is almost complete.

Black does not have to play 1...Ke1. He can move his knight, and then there is no mate in 3.

Did you actually try "Alternate solution"?
