Challenging, but not 38% challenging

I spent a few minutes on this puzzle because I saw the solve rate and expected there to be some very subtle move that I was missing.

It's somewhat challenging to work out a five move mate in your head, but this wasn't THAT hard. I don't quite get why the solve rate was so low this time. Maybe the site has recalibrated how they calculate failed attempts again?

Probably because there are so many moves that look good, but that don't quite work, that the possibility for wrong moves is high.

Yeah, there are lots of moves to consider but, if one realizes that every move by black has to be a check then he can narrow down the possibilities quite a lot. Still, it's a time consuming puzzle.

Enjoyable

The first line I saw (that worked) involved mating with a pawn, b5#, but the computer didn't choose that line. Pity, always nice to mate with a pawn.
