This is very logical and can be solved by analysis. Just a few steps.

1. Can I move the knights on first turn?
2. Can I move the knights on second turn?
3. Can I mate with a knight on third turn?
4. How can I avoid stalemates?

In my case, the b2 pawn stood out like a sore thumb. For it to be useful, the black pawn had to be got out of the way. Once I saw that, the means of doing so fell into place.

It's not the hardest key to spot, but it's satisfying when you do nonetheless. I like the straightforward logic and elegance of this puzzle.
