Nice puzzle

Never thought to have bishop on pawn's promotion.
I was in impression to get Queen or Knight.

But after thinking of few mnts, I got to know that bishop can make the mate.

Liked this puzzle alot.

Queen draws

Promoting to a queen leads to a draw, only the bishop can make the mate.

Stalemate

@prizm, The queen blocks the field e4 for the black king, leading to a stalemate. The bishop leaves e4 the only option for the king.

I have to admit,my first try was a promotion to knight, expecting to mate on d6, but I failed to notice the unguarded flight square on d3.

Knight

I did the same thing, the knight is a special piece and this leads to horse bias.
