One of four entries: puzzle #581, puzzle #3270, puzzle #25494, and puzzle #53718. I'd say puzzle #581 should be considered the original for multiple reasons.

Kingdawar
you take the fun out of posting puzzles. I said it before, they should check with you first before posting puzzles.

It's good to realize that these often reproduced diagrams don't just 'happen' -- they went through several hands before and there usually is a paper trail to be found. And in the case of the 200,000+ entry GameKnot puzzle archive the diligent posters already did a lot of web crawling and scraping history before entry 10,000.

I'm really confused about why anyone would think Kingdawar is taking the fun out of posting puzzles. I always thought he made things more fun. In any case, I thought all the variations he showed us were equally difficult, yet their solve rates ranged from 43 to 62%. Go figure.

Thanks guys. It's hard to put the fun back into the posting and solving of puzzles. Remember: hell is repetition.
