Cornering the king
This is a good example of cornering the King.
Instead of circling around the King in an end game with the King constantly making desperate moves here or there until stalemate or hoping the other player resigns, it is better if the King can be cornered to the side of the board, or best put right into the corner. This puzzle is a good training example of that approach where when you start to see that the King can be put in the corner, put him there.
