I was aware of the Schinkman version. I wanted to try something with the rooks off the 7th rank, to introduce the extra complication of a potential black king move to c8 (>b7) or e8 (>f7).

From simple #3 to complicated #6 back to simple #4
It works like this, but black doesn't play the thematically relevant Kc8. There is a simple version if you don't allow the Qb2+: Ra6->a4, c3->c2, f4->e3. Mate in four.
