but i'd like to know why... conditional moves are mostly used for a semi forced checkmate or for speeding up openings why would you want to opt outon that i think the best way to compare this is like in real chess your opponent expected your move and moves right away to respond to this |

If you don't like conditional move don't use them. I like them. It speeds up the game and alow me to put in a repsonse to a move a expect a opponent to make. If I know after a capture my opponent will capture the piece right back I can put in my response to that right then. if I have a forced mate I can enter that and speed up the ending. I can enter book repsonsed to openings. When I am caught up on all me games and I feel like playing I can look at the games see what my opponent my do and enter a reponse to that. As a said I like then if you don't don't use them |

I mean You don't have to respond straight away you always could save those games for later... also sometimes you can get a small bit of information out of it |

anyway you still havn't told us WHY you hate conditional moves... this is not about a reason why gameknot isn't putting it in or anything you where "complaining*" about that we did not understand you yet you don't bother to explain what your problem with it *sorry english isn't my first language and I didn't know any other word to use but I don't mean for it to sound so negative |

Once again, we are very sorry you don't like them for some reason. But we are not going to introduce an option that prevents *other* players from using this convenient and useful feature, simply because you don't like it. Same reason we don't have an option that prevents the use of "analyze the board" feature by other players, or private game notes, or any other of the features available on GK. If you don't like it, simply don't use it. |

Conditional moves I like your comment.. 'If you do like it, simple don't use it'. I do not use conditional moves, so why should I have to have conditional move made against me? Again, I am probably the less than 1% of your paying members that do not want conditional moves to be made against him/her.. GK, you have a good chess website, and continuing improvements, such as fixing your conditional move problem will continue to bring in more, new paying members.. Thanks, Chris.. |

conditional moves If I knew someone didn't like conditional moves, I'd probably use them more, so you probably don't want to play any games with me. : ) Anyway it's all for fun, so just have a good time. |

Use the option to conceal condition moves Could this be your motif: You like to drag out some games.  game has been going on for over a year in spite of the lopsided position. You have a nice collection of those...
