Messages to the team...Non paying GK team members cannot respond to a message posted in the team forum. Why do you insist on making your very good chess website, less user friendly? Everything now a days is all about the social medium thing. I am not a member of any of the social medium websites, but this kind of stuff seems to be what makes things better.. My opinion.. Chris.. |

Having the one central record of the message and a notification to team members on the GK menu when a team message is posted is a sensible technical improvement, and I imagine would keep the cost of running the site down and keeps the site running well, which benefits all of us (well not so much non-paying members). If people don't respond to messages on the team forum when they are notified of them maybe they just aren't that interested in the team... |

Messages to the teamSmall_potato, you are also whole point of my thread to GK. Please read below. On a side note. All GK has to do is to allow non paying GK members the ability to respond to team forum messages. This small change, then allows the entire team to actively communicate between one another using the team forum. And this great update would then totally replace the taken away ability for one team mate to broadcast a message to all teammates via a private message. Thanks, Chris |

Memory and disk capacity are dirt cheap when it comes to commodity PCs. It is a slightly different picture when it comes to servers. And more importantly, it is one thing when your PC has to handle just one user, it is a slightly different proposition when a server has to handle thousands of users simultaneously. At some point it is no longer a matter of sticking in more memory, or adding more disk space. Also, performance and optimization issues were just some of the reasons why the team forums were introduced. |

ForumsWith that being said, I don't mean to be rude or hateful. I am just concerned for the integrity of the forums. And if you do take any offense I apologize but none is implied. With the most utmost respect, Jeremy Martin |
