Statistics calculations details

Is there anywhere that discusses the details of how statistics are calculated where time is an element of the statistic?
For example, how are the "average chess rating"s for "Past 90 days", "Past Year", and "All Rated Games" calculated? Is it time weighted? Or is it just one entry into the calculation for each time your score changes?
Also, how is the "opponent's rating (averaged)" calculated for the "Detailed Rating Graph"?
Does it take the average of the last 5 opponents? or 10? or some other number?
