Early emergency postponement
I just got caught up on my games, one had 5 hours left, and a few minutes later got a message that an emergency postponement was triggered. This was too early, and earlier than I seem to remember it triggering in the past.
Anyone run into this?
Gameknot support - any answers?

Hi. Maybe the emergency pp was triggered earlier in a game with somebody else.

I see problems or issues with the game postponement all the time ,

Personally I think it needs an update , but we never seem to get any support or answers to questions from GK

Maybe they're on a beach in the sun 🏖 wish I was! 🍹

dougjenkins, the notification about the emergency postponement includes a link to the game that triggered it. A game with 5 hours on the clock will not trigger an emergency postponement, because it hasn't timed out yet. It can take up to 30 minutes for a timed out game to be processed, so what likely happened -- it was a different game that timed out, and when you checked your games, it was already removed from your active games list, so you did not see it on the list of active game. A few minutes later you received the emergency postponement notification, but it was not triggered by the game with 5 hours on the clock.

amacivn, there are no issues with game postponements, nor do they require an update. Please read the game postponement rules to make sure you understand how it works, to avoid any confusion. We haven't made any significant changes to the postponement system in the past 10+ years, as it's been working just fine.

Thanks for your response, I was having a heckuva time finding a support link for that is when I went to the forums.
I thought the emergency postponement was much closer than 5 hours, I have been there in the past with no postponement, and past my 4 months since the last postponement.
Thanks again.

Gk as you know I've been using this site for 12 years , and can well believe you have made no significant changes in the last 10+ years ,
But questions about postponement rules seem to come up all the time , and related topics

Just glad that my car is not 10+ years old , it would probably still run just fine , but not as good as new

Sorry couldn't resist 😉
