Adding wins by timeout to stats
I have won a few by timeout. And I do appreciate the win and the rating boost it does articifaly increase rating (somewhat). But not complaing there.

We have loss by timeout in our stats. How bout wins by timeout added?
and prefrefrebly to the 90/Year/alltime stats so when looking at an opponent to judge how good they are we can see how many of the wins are by timeour

I am newer on Gameknot,so still learning its features.I noticed however, that it seems easier to spot timed out games without even looking into the game at first from an opponents history
of games or a future opponent. While it may not be "every"game,it appears that many players
seem to time out early in the game, usually before move 15 or so,some move 6 or 7,for example.
So,it may not be a precise way of seeing the whole picture but when looking at a finished game
in the history of another player and that player lost in 15 moves or less, there was probably a time out.Your idea, would be a better one,of course,evader23,but if GK does not ever have
that feature you suggest, then doing a quick search like I have done seems to be a partial solution, with limits,of course.Better than nothing.

Yeah I am aware of the past game looking at timeout trick. I use when my opponent hasn't moved in a while and I wonder if he is timing out in other games. If he is I don't mess with making cond. moves.

Thank you for the idea to check on pregame though

And not to change the subject, but it seems to me that a number of 2400-2500 players seem to have some kind of rating manipulation going on.For example,I have checked on a few games of very high rated players that suddenly resign after less than 15 moves or so which is not due to material loss or anything else.Very suspicious, especially since the position is also equal on both sides.Perhaps two accounts(same person) with different computers, two different accounts and two different locations to avoid being caught?
Not a big deal to me,but I have seen this several times with different players, especially in
a team or league game. When you are over 2400,you know the game well and do not suddenly
resign after just a few moves. If it was medical reasons, then they would be resigning other
games as well, which I did not witness on 3 players I have recently checked out.

Rating maplipulation has been a problem on here since the dawn of time. GK takes steps to discourage it. The only advantage to a lower rating(that I know of) is to get into a lower section of a tournament. And now if you have so many games end in 16 moves or less you can join and they also take into account 90 day high for tourney sections.

I am not sure what else they can do that wouldn't affect those of us that don't do that.

I just play. I try to get better and play people I think will give me a good game. I wanna win as many as possible but don't get bent out of shape with a loss I review the games (wins and losses) look at for a week point and try to improve.

Side not I have learned few things doing that. My wn/loss record has refeclted that as of late hopfully I can get rating back up soon

What I see is that if you are too quick to accept a challenge or give a challenge in a private game that has a players rating lowered on purpose, you could end up losing to a player who
"appears"to be 2200,but in reality is actually a 2400 rated player in strength,so you could conceivably be unfairly matching yourself to someone.Again,I am new to this site, but I am beginning to see some strange scenarios unfolding. But that is how it is,I suppose. No need for me to get bent out of shape.
