A few questions about blitz attack

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn’t find it.
I’m loving blitz attack after a couple of weeks. It made me buy subscription because I was hooked!
A couple of questions
If/when I get a star (Hopefully tomorrow!)does that allow me to skip 3 puzzles every time I play or 3 times in total?
I can see my rank but it doesn’t mean much because I don’t know how many the total number of players are. Where can I find that?
I think it’s a great format. I feel I’ve improved more in the last few weeks more than the last few years!

It's every time you play Blitz Attack, as long as the skip puzzles box is ticked.

P.S. The stars are only temporary, though. Each week you need to reach a certain number of blitz attack puzzles solved (I think you have to be in the top 25% of players with the same number of stars as you... so the exact number you need can vary through the week) in order to gain a new star (up to a max of 5) or at least retain the star(s) you have.
If your best (in the current week) score is below that, you will lose a star!
