Reinstated games and canceling (others') vacations
I just want to express my sentiments, feelings and resentments this way:

1) - to refuse reinstating is lame and pathetic.
(you don't change the result, it is not termination of the touch-move rule; your opponent is curious how the variation would end; only minus is that a reinstated game is also rated, but so what?) I accept reinstating even in worse position. Call that virtue signalling if you wish but I do.

2) - canceling others' vacation only because they continue to move is anal-freaking pettiness.

Both are allowed, okay, but they suck.

Game reinstatement
I don't find it lame ...unlike my jokes .. ha ha

The answers easy fella ... don't time out and take your vacation flag down when your ready to move .... don't be such a drama .... you won't get so "wound up"

Yes, it can be frustrating when the other players don't quite behave the way you want them to. However, please remember that chess is a two player game, and consider the other player's perspective. There are many legitimate reasons why someone might decline the game reinstatement request -- because they are already playing too many games they can handle, or they are trying to reduce the number of games they are playing in general, or maybe they find it frustrating when their opponent times out, and simply want to avoid playing against such players. Same with the vacation flags -- your opponent might find your own behavior (making moves during the postponement) frustrating because, for example, they prefer to finish the game faster, or they might suspect the postponement was just an excuse to delay a lost game.

The bottom line is, as amacivn suggested, please simply avoid time-outs by better managing your time, postpone your games when absolutely necessary, avoid making moves during postponement periods, and you won't have to be upset about any of what you wrote about above.
