Ignore list challege question

Its my understanding that anyone on my ignore list cannot challenge me to a regular game or open challenge.I have one such person on my ignore list.Just as an experiment,mind you,I sent a challenge to my opponent who is on my ignore list.It worked and the game could have proceeded.But I immediately canceled the game.This seems interesting to me.Now,since the game board appeared to my ignored opponent,could he have made his first move?If so,then does this bend the rules for an opponent who is being ignored to make a move in my game I sent him,while still being on my ignore list?I would think that a message would have appeared to me BEFORE the game board appeared telling me that I could not challenge HIM for he is on my ignore list!

It’s probably there so you can still play someone on your ignore list if you want to, but without the chat. Just guessing, mind you.

According to FAQ #57...

... a player in your ignore list can’t send you any messages, challange you to a game or join any of your games.

So I think you can challange they, but their messages in the game board chat don’t appear.

Also, I think that the ignore list work just for friendly games and maybe also for mini tournament you start. I don’t have any idea of how team matches work, if team captain see or not if a player is in your ignore list before starting a new team match. For chess ladder, league and GK tournament I don’t think that ignore list prevent a player in it to challange you to a match.

It seems to me that faq #57 was not worded precisely.For,if my opponent cannot join any of my games,then why would a game board appear for my opponent to make a move if he is on my ignore list?I do believe that he would have been able to continue the game,regardless of my ignore list of him.Perhaps that rule only applies to my opponent not being able to challenge me
on his own accord,but if I still challenge him while ignoring him,that is a loophole in the ignore list...at least technically.Why did I do that anyway?As an experiment of curiosity.In my humble opinion,I should not have been able to challenge him with a game board even appearing,if he was on my ignore list.A message should have appeared,telling me that I cannot send him a challenge.But it did not.Interesting enough,some players may forget that a specific player
is on their ignore list and go ahead and send them a challenge.Try what I did and see for yourself.Then cancel the game.
