Declared draws
I am obviously thick , but can anyone clarify the 3 fold draw repetition rule Can it be claimed when only 1 player makes the same moves 3 times or is it when both players make 3 moves Neil frustrated Neil

This isn't only on GK, but in real life to. One time, I had a win against someone and made one miscalculation that allowed her to get a draw by rep. Her name is Kavayah, and what I didn't realize was that the same position had repeated 3 times. With a small mathematical error, I thought I had made the same moves three times, but she only made her twice. The position wouldn't have repeated 3 times, but she told me that this was the 3rd that she also played the same moves, and Kavyah was spot on. Then, I, subsequently, used the same tactic against Carl. He had a clear win but knew that, somewhere in that line, he could miscalculate and allow a draw. So, I was playing Hope Chess in hopes that he'd go wrong and allow me to draw, as I started placing him in check where we went. And, it worked, so I announced a draw by repetition, as well.
