Country Specific

Is it possible, when Starting a new Game to make it possible for only players from certain countries to join the game? I ask this, not because I don't want to play, say against a Frenchman, but because I sometimes I prefer top play against someone in my timezone.

Any comments?

Perhaps

an option would be to select a time-zone band, say within 5 or 6 hours of yours? This would still
enable northern hemisphere/southern hemisphere matches.

Well

You won't find this option in the 'start a game page' you have to go on the 'players' page ('players' in the menu left, if u're using the classical GK-interface). On this page, click on advanced search, to find players from a specific time zone. then you will have to challenge them and see if they accept your challenge...

as far as I know,this is the only way to challenge players from a specific country for example.Players are listed by country in the player section.
As to the more precise answer to j101m question....there is no way to have a specific player from a specific country actually join your POSTED game challenge,this would be open to anyone and any country with the specific limits set in your game post or your rating.You might have some success "labelling"the NAME of your posted game,like..."Kenya players only please".While this would not guarantee success,it would increase your odds of getting a player from your area that way.And you can cancel 10 times if you like,(with a good excuse)until you actually get someone from Kenya or around that area!
