markb56THe analysisboard opens in a different window and the gamenotes are on the main-board .... you can open them both at once so entering text in the game notes should be no problem ... or am I missing something here?? |

Mark2 - Have you sent this as a suggestion to gameknot_com already? Although I suspect gameknot_com to read every suggestion here, still you need to send them in them a message via gameknot.com to be sure. I have suggested to add an "edit note" feature on the analyze board, in the "note tab". Be patient and they might even fix it within reasonable time. levellerlevvie: copy-paste from the previous thread in which the issue is explained: --- markb56 12/28/2008 Subject: Problem with GAME NOTES WINDOW Message: I use the GAME NOTES WINDOW (GNW) to enter and save my analyses from the analysis window. With the recent changes to the GNW, I can no longer do this because the GNW is now a sub-frame of the GAME window instead of a separate pop-up window -- when I click on the GNW, the GAME window comes forward and covers-up the analysis window! When I bring the analysis window forward I can no longer type in the GNW -- if I click on the GNW then the GAME window eclipses the analysis window, etc. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING! I am running Mac OS-X using FireFox, so I wonder if Windows users are having similar problems? Please GameKnot, *PLEASE*: change the GAME NOTES WINDOW back to being a separate pop-up instead of a sub-frame inside the GAME window! Or at least make this behavior a configurable option. heinzkat 12/28/2008 Message: ...or add an "edit note" option on the analysis board - the note already is there in a "tab", so why not add the function to edit that note too. |

WOW a real BUMMER I wondered if I just ran out of space in the box, lengthwise. But am almost certain that the notes did enter to it originally, and now are gone. They also were made at different times or days but all after a certain day just left regardless of when-after that they were entered there. Anyone else lose their NOTES ? |

Thank You I did send a PM to my opponent just now so he can make sure HIS NOTES are still there~! (Maybe if I ask nicely, he will let me look at HIS notes, since mine are gone ??! ... or, maybe not; Oh well. ... }8-D |

HEINZKAT: Yes, I have sent my comments to GK and they said they would forward them to their development team. I also like your suggestion of being able to edit notes directly from the analysis window, which I also forwarded to GK. So if I'm the only one bothered by the new game notes window then I'll just suck it up and live with it. Although surely there has to be at least one other person who feels my pain . |
