on one screen or a larger game board on two or three screens, one behind the other that I can click and switch to instantly as separate game boards. On special games that require much deeper thought,I have interfaced a full size wooden chess board with my GK games. That board has a magnetic piece and lights on all four corners of each square for OTB play. So,this way,I can have my cake and eat it by using a very large gameboard with the pieces transferred from the GK site to my full sized OTB board.Walking around both sides of the board, rather than flipping the board on a flat screen has certain psychological advantages, but if you are from the "new school"as opposed to the old school like me that was raised on real chess boards, not computer screens...using any real chess board may take getting used to. |
