Time controle

How did it come that I see that an opponent of mine has 10 hours to move, and for some reason it seems he had back several days to move without making a move ?

Ik weet niet hoeveel dagen er zijn, maar in het weekend wordt er tijd toegevoegd, evenals tijdelijke stroomstoringen. Andere redenen kunnen een vakantie zijn die door je tegenstander is georganiseerd

Het is meer dan waarschijnlijk dat je tegenstander een time-out op vakantie heeft genomen en wel of niet heeft bewogen tijdens die vakantie. Dat levert dagen op.

thank you Joe. if you permit me to call you so. its kind a strange. he is totally lost but for some reason he can played further for a long time. I have seen the log from our game and it doesn't seems okay. I think its second or third time he have 24 hours to answer , but nothing happened real. no vacation flag or so. I understand it not

Q4 FAQ

This could be the reason, from Q4 of the FAQ:

“24 hours are automatically added to all non-postponed games (but not to exceed the original time control) every Saturday between 5-6pm local GK time (PST) to prevent timeouts over the weekend for people who play from work/school and don't have computers at home. It is designed to ensure that if you make your move on Friday, you should have until the same time on Monday to make your next move.”

Thank you also for the input. Indeed it comes out the same what myrydin said , but you were earlier ,and thank you for the Dutch answer. Sandra is top. when I was younger there are two songs of here I was really stun ed of: Maria Magdalena and in the heat of the night. The song you send, I think I don't know, but I will hear it and let you know. thanks a lot
