This keeps happening to me on different platforms. Clearing cache seems to help momentarily on my desktop computer and Firefox, but I seem to have to do it again and again.

Ok, done.

I appreciate the initiative - I hope you can find a solution. Clearing the cookies and cache didn't help anymore with Firefox today, btw. Now I'm using a different browser.

Regards,

Cloudflare, ping, tracert
I've used FireFox on Windows to connect to gameknot.com for the last 10 years and I've never had any problems (except when GK is having CloudFlare problems which usually affects everyone). CloudFlare is known for denying certain IP network addresses if it suspects suspicious activity (e.g. "google Cloudflare DDoS" for more info). Have you tried running "ping" and/or "tracert" if running Windows (or "traceroute" if running Linux or MacOS)? "tracert" can sometimes tell you if any of your upstream network hops are having problems.

Open a command window and execute:

ping gameknot.com
tracert gameknot.com (or traceroute if Linux)

Don't be surprised if tracert is unable to gather info from every hop (i.e. "* * * Request timed out" responses will occur for some of the hpos). In my case my network provider is Google Fiber and it takes me 9 hops and 16ms to reach GK.

Hi everyone,

We are still working on this issue. The problem seems to be with Cloudflare, so we are somewhat limited in what we can do to resolve the issue.

We appreciate your patience while we work this out! Our sincere apologies for the interruption this is causing.

Why am I not surprised? Cloudflare is supposed to protect against "denial of service" attacks, but in preventing such attacks Cloudflare sometimes causes a "denial of service" (insert "irony" emoji here). I still recommend running "tracert gameknot.com" to see which hop might be affected.
