Unrated blitz no more?

Perhaps I missed a post somewhere but for a change from the rated blitz I have been playing,
I thought I would go back to the old days and play some unrated blitz.There is an option to click on an unrated blitz board game.However,when I tried to engage the unrated game,all I got was...

"Disconnected from the server:
Log in failed, please try again"

No,I am NOT disconnected from server and NO I am always logged in,I never log out.

I tried it several times and nothing happens,no connect to unrated.BUT immediately going to the rated blitz board again....all is fine to play rated blitz.

Has GK simply set aside and disconnected the unrated game board?Just wondering,for
I like to play some unrated to experiment with some of my experimental openings
again and without the worry of losing any blitz points if I lose.

I want others to try the "unrated blitz"and see if they can connect to unrated and play an unrated game.I suspect that unrated is not popular anymore,but then,why have the option
to click onto?That is kind of bogus.

I don’t normally play blitz, but I just tried it and the same thing happened to me - ‘disconnected from server.’ It didn’t look like it attempted to load, so I guess you’re right, Joe, it looks like unrated blitz has been disabled.

Yes,it is what I also suspected,but had to check with anyone else,just in case it was my computer.
The unrated selection option that one can click onto is therefore misleading,since unrated blitz is no more active.So that "option"should be eradicated from the GK server....especially for new members who have no idea.I know when it was active a while back along with the rated blitz,there was no one playing the unrated anyway and I tried it several times over a two week period.I wanted to play a few of my Q sacs and special other openings to experiment again without losing any points just in case I get stomped on.

Joe, I fixed your PGN. GK didn't like your headers and you had an illegal move "16. ... a6" which is supposed to be "16. ... h6" according to your club-notes. {FYI: You can also import PGN at GK using the "Practice Board" and then select "Setup Board" gameknot.com )
