Currently when you set up the board you have to go back to the piece panel for each new piece, my suggestion is that the piece you select remains selected even after you place it on the board (so you can put another of the same piece type somewhere else on the board). This would make it much easier to set up the board more quickly especially for pawns. Imagine quickly stringing together a pawn chain rather than having to laboriously revisit the panel for each new piece. I'd think you would be able to set up the board in half the time. Using this method you would only have to go back to the panel if you wanted to change to a different piece.

doc3170 09-Jan-09, 11:12	Why not? 2 Rooks, 2 Knights, 2 Bishops, & sometimes 2 Queens. It's quite normal. Besides, most chess programs that have set up position available work this way. Chessmaster, Chesspad, ChessBase to name a few.
