End Game Club?discussion that might supplement my course of study in books and articles. I know that there are a fair number of end game threads in the "chess related" forum, and it might be useful to collect links to those threads in a single location for ease of access. Even better might be to try to find a way to preserve some of them from scrolling off the board of the chess related forum. Does anyone have any comments about these ideas? Good, bad, or indifferent? |

Nice idea...Maybe there could be a whole new forum: endgames. Or perhaps the 'Chess Related' forum have a number of 'sub-forums': Openings; Middlegame; Endgames; General. Cheers, Ion |

Thanks Ionmy inclination to do this because they both demonstrate that there are knowledgeable people who are willing to share their ideas. Unfortunately, threads do scroll off the forums and clubs. I have yet to figure out a way to archive them that will keep them available indefinitely. It would have to be consistent with everyone's copyrights, so I don't think copying them to an off site location and providing a link would be a good idea. Perhaps if I bump selected threads once per year it will keep them fresh on this site. I am not sure if that will work. |

I may soon have a R & P ending for you!I may soon have such an ending for you but at the moment the game is still in play. At its conclusion I may well add it to the Rook Ending thread. Cheers and bye for now. Joanne |
