Different types of ratings
I was just wondering about how many different types of ratings there are. I mean I know about FIDE and USCF ratings and here in Australia they have ACF Australian chess federation ratings Which as far as I am aware are generally considered to be lower then what they would be if they were FIDE ratings or even more so if they were USCF ratings. But how many others are there? Does every country have their own rating systems and are any others lower or higher than what they would be if compared to something like FIDE.

Don't know ...
Can say UK has their own rating system for BCA. The ELO conversion from USCF or FIDE, I dont recall precisely which ... is (RATING - 600) /8 = BCA

1800 -600 = 1200 ; 1200/8 = 150 BCA

and think they also consider only the last so many games. Perhaps it was 50 games. My only expertise in it involves How To Plummet From 150 to 120 in Less Than 2 Events. LOL. But what fun to finally say I got to play Internationally. }8-)

As far as I know, most countries have their own, national rating systems, and they tend to be based on the FIDE ELO ratings. The mathematics is often very similar, however the values of the numerical coefficients may be rather different.

In the Netherlands...
...we have the KNSB ratings, which are very similar to the FIDE ratings. Belgium also has its own rating system and I suppose every country has. I know the Belgian ratings are somewhat higher.
Also, we have our own rating system at our club. My club rating is currently some 80 points higher than my KNSB rating (and I have no FIDE rating), but that's because I play more games at my club so my KNSB rating represents my playing strength over the last, say, two years while my club rating displays my current strength.
