Old database

Why there are no recent games in the games database ? All games are 10 years or older.

... referring to World database? I noticed it too, perhaps GK never updated it since the last time, which probably was about ten years ago. I consult also Chess365 online database, do you know anything more complete?

Have you tried Hiarcs opening database?They update every 3 to 4 months and keep all the master and GM's games up to date.Its not free of course.Maybe some older versions are,I would have to check.I use a custom polyglot book and one other that was actually designed for me personally by a GM and one other USCF member.But still refer back to Hiarcs from time to time.I recommend Hiarcs as I always have over the years.It is also GM recommended.

You have an interesting handle name.
Many of my blitz games have revolved around the Durkins or what many call...the "Sodium Attack".Here is an old club post of mine regarding that weird opening I have played many times in blitz and two times in the reg GK games:

A weaker opening that goes against the norm,but does come with surprise psychological value to the "unwary"as I explain.Knights on the edge files are,of course,weaker,but not as weak as many believe,especially for those lesser rated opponents who do not know "how"to exploit that opening weakness.So,I test others out all the time for past lessons.With your name,I can assume that you must have played the "sodium"before!?
