bernie3 18-Jan-10, 20:01	Problem with the Modern Defence Advice that I have read on strategy in the Modern Defence tells me that White should not be allowed to place a piece on d4 (eg., Nd4) or c4 (eg. Bc4) otherwise my defence will fail. If my Modern Defence starts 1,e4 g6 or 1.e4 d6, how can I possibly prevent 2.Bc4 !!?
blake78613 18-Jan-10, 20:14	Where did you read this advice? The variations with the Bishop on c4 is referred to by Chernin and Albert as the "paper tiger" of the Pirc. A bishop on c4 is hardly to be feared in the Pirc or Modern.
