 Online Chess at GK, OTBStill A Chess Player After All ?!... within 30 seconds of that thought it also occurred; I could even hold a Tournament ... right here on GK. Pair em up Swiss or Quad. Wow. After announcing Pairings the WT player would simply Challenge to the BL, or such. So I looked into the slower time controls; And I see that it really is not cut out for this kind of activity for lack of being able to input an optional TC of our choice. Also there is not a 30 min, 60 min or traditional X-Moves in Y-minutes format for games. I wish there was. And that is really my reason for posting it here in GK Forum, rather than chess forum as originally planned. Tho primary intent is to see if anyone actually IS PLAYING REAL TOURNAMENT TYPE SPEED OTB HERE FOR TIME CONTROLS? WOULD ANYONE LIKE TO PLAY SOME SLOW CHESS ONCE IN AWHILE? WOULD THEY PLAY A REALTIME NONBLITZ TOURNAMENT IF OFFERED? and only finally ... CAN/WILL GK GIVE US A BETTER TIME CONTROL CONTROL TO DO THAT? i can actually see doing it now with the 10 min plus 60 second which is the slowest. But also that there could be a problem if someone got into a hundred mover game ... and that someone might have to be able to adjourn that one (not possible here now). And lacking that, would just have to Adjudicate it to keep things moving. I suppose a possibility would be to adjourn it, take a PGN, Pair it as " PlayingFor" Results with one player at .5 the other at 1.0 for it ... then transfer it to Corr for final playout!? um cumbersome. Thoughts? |
