Team challenges...
How do I challenge another team and select the proposed match ups? Currently I can select the players from my team but I have to put the names of the proposed opponents in the comments box.

I think that the comments box is the only way to propose at that level. But why not leave it up to the other team? Of course it is always best to at least check that they have players available of the ratings that you need to match.

Team Chess Games
I only play the odd Team games on SchemingMind when invited, the time controls are quite long and generous, I don't know much about Team games on Gameknot or it's format, I now at a age where I stay clear personally of any quicker play controls, No 5min or BLITZ for this old timer lolaughes😉😀 On Gameknot at present I playing either 3 or 5 day per move prefer to think about my moves it's called senior citizen chess chuckles. I used to be decent player around 147 Ecf (1770 Elo) in over the board play but stopped just before covid hit and not returned to overbboard play, my situation in limbo with dreaded NHS waiting list so playing only on line at present!?

luzhin657, if slower play is your game then you'll find that the "Slow Ladder" is perfect as its time control is 5d+2d<10d (i.e. start with 5 days with an increment of 2 days per move banked up to a maximum of 10 days). You'll also only play other paying members which is nice. The only drawback is that if you challenge another player then you can only play as "black", which is why 80% of my finished games are as "black".
