in a real match nobody would place the queen there!

Sure they would, if it leads to mate, which is what happens if the bishop takes the queen.

1.Qe1 Qh4 2. Bxh4 Rxh3#

yeah, you're right

apparently looks like an unnecessary queen sacrifice but it's actually mate in 2

it reminds me of legal mate in some way
