There's more. But, this it's something that Jeremy is familar with in an annotation that got deleted, "Shutting up a kibitzer". That later led to me annotating a game about another. And, now we're talking about, yet, another. This time, one of them was against GM Susan Polgar. gameknot.com

Didn't want to waste a separate thread on this as I didn't feel it necessary also didn't know where to put it as it's not really chess related, but I won't be around for a while as unfortunately I've caught this coronavirus and need time to recover. While I don't know how I caught it, I am taking all the necessary precautions to prevent a long hospital stay, but unfortunately this is where I am now due to trouble breathing.

So far, there is no effective therapy for CV pandemic but there are experimental treatment for this virus infection. You have to make the decision early since if you develop severe pneumonia late in the clinical course, which requires intubation it is difficult to treat. There are 3 therapies available.
1. Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. HCQ is an antimalarial drug and is also treat Lupus and RA.
2. Remdesivir This antiviral drug is used to treat Ebola virus before. It appears to be effective according to the researcher who is using it.
3. Convalescent plasma. After infection with this virus, people develop antibodies against this virus and may prevent the infection or will get milder forms which do not require intubation.
There are side-effects of the drugs in question but I believe younger patients can tolerate well. When I was a teenager I had malarial infection 3 times and each time, I was treated with chloroquine and cured without significant side effects.

Thank you all for your well wishes
Well, this has certainly been a life changing experience and not in a good way! I literally feel like someone has been sitting on my chest everytime I'm taking breaths in, I've had a bad fever of 103F (39.4C), a sore throat, if this were the flu, it would be the worst flu I'd ever had! My body aches so much.

Thanks to the nurses for being so patient with me. The job they're doing is truly vital for the survival of everyone here. I would be so lost without them here.

Hopefully I will be home in the next few days or so

Unlike other problems, this person doesn't give the solutions to the problem, so it doesn't pay to PM me either. As I don't know the answer, but once a week there is a chess article from Andy Soltis in the New York Post. And, it does include a chess problem, so I have created a thread just for that. gameknot.com

Interesting.
Interesting. I probably would have considered Rxd7 in a game and would consider checks and ultimately dismissed Rxd7 as an unsound sacrifice. Many thanks for sharing this.
