Enjoyed the game...
..blitzkov. Fine exploitation of an advantage, gradually increasing it over time, until White's final collapse. A high value result, given the disparity in ratings.

A comment on the evaluation guide given by rmannstaedt: I would suggest that some part of the points system be allowed for the ideas that appear in the game. If they are realised by the player, excellent; but even if they are not, I would be inclined to award something.

The 'ideas' I am thinking about might be tactical or positional; occur in the opening, middle game or end game.

I know this sounds vague, and I hesitate to give concrete examples. But when playing through a game, you kind of get the feeling that this was really something, and entertaining too.

Here's an example of the sort of game I mean:

Before playing through this game, check out the ratings of the players. Given those, and what happens during its course, I would regard this game as a strong candidate for a Game of the Month.

Cheers,

Dec GOM
Results are in and here's how the games scored:

Tie for 2nd place, each w/ 25 pts, Tennessee and Rmannstaedt.
Tennessee's game opened w/ Kings pawn opening and Petrov's Def. Tenn was all over his opponent from the start and offered no breathing room throughout. Granted the opponent made a bad move by loosing his Q early but Tenn made him pay dearly with some deadly moves and mated him quickly.

Rmannsteadt also made mincemeat out of his opponent in record setting moves. It started off as Dunst opening and transformed into a gammit. Again, pressure was exerted from the get go and he smothered his opponent with some nice play.

1st place goes to Miodrags with 26 pts. It was was a long drawn out game but a very nice end game. It started out as a Q's gambit declined but overall, Miodrags played well in the beginning. Not sure about move 13 by not taking a R with the Kn but overlooked and the Kn was lost when he castled. The ending was a classic being down a pt or 2 including 1 major piece but outnumbering his opponent in p's and that won out with an eventual mate. Miogrags also won vs an opponent 150 pts stronger. I did not hold the 2 games I played vs Miodrags against him when he timed out on both!
Congrats Miodrags! Lots of patience and some very nice end game moves!

A suggestion
Goodo but, as I don't really wish to wade through 273 posts to find the games in question is it possible links to the 1,2,3 or, in this case, the 1, 2, 2, be posted for us latecomers? Indeed that may be sound advice for all future posts announcing winners of GotM. As an aside the whole concept of GotM pretty much rocks the kasbah. Kudos to all involved!
